The aim of Self-Advocacy Resources is to share information about advocacy and how to make information accessible. These Self-Advocacy Resources were developed and collected to strengthen self-advocacy work in Ireland.
The Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 was signed into law in 2015. The legislation sets out a system of supports for adults who have difficulties with decision-making capacity.
We believe that with the right support people with disabilities can enjoy the same opportunity to live independently in their own home and in their own community.
